PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is also known by the trademark TEFLON. The material resin is produced through emulsion poly-addition and suspension poly-addition processes, generating a material with a unique set of features; an insoluble and infusible polymer of very high chemical resistance.

PTFE plastic can be applied to valves, balls, gaskets, sealing rings, pan linings, and filaments for electrical and electronic components.

Extra Information

The only chemical features that can attack PTFE plastic are liquid alkali metals, plus some fluorine pressure bonds and temperatures beyond those supported. It withstands temperatures from -200ºC to + 260ºC.
